MO Theater
MO teatteri on itsenäinen, vuonna 2009 perustettu ammattiteatteri. Teatterin perustajat Osku Leinonen ja Maria Salangina toimivat monipuolisina freelance-taiteilijoina ja asuvat Tampereella. Butoh on estetiikaltaan, lähestymistavaltaan liikkeeseen, kehoon ja ihmiseen salliva ja eheyttävä esittävän taiteen muoto. Oskulle ja Marialle tanssi on yhteyttä, ihmisen syvyyttä ja jotain hyvin lähestyttävää.
“Butoh tavoittelee yhteyttä omaan kehoon, mieleen ja maailmaan ammentaakseen energiaa sisäisestä maisemasta ja elävästä elämästä; kohti yksinkertaista ja siksi rikasta kokemusta olla elollinen, henkinen ja fyysinen olento, olevainen. Butoh haastaa katsojia pysähtymään hetkeen; hitaus ja intensiivisyys ovat vahvuus ja mahdollisuus irtautua hetkeksi menneestä sekä tulevasta. Esitykset ovat ainutkertaisia, hetkeen syntyviä, ja hetkeen katoavia: kutsumme katsojat jakamaan lyhyen purskeen elämästä kanssamme. Meille Butoh ja taiteet kannustavat ihmistä kohti omaa potentiaaliaan, onnellista, eheää ja kokemuksellista, esteettis-eettistä elämää. Toimimme freelance-taiteilijoina ja toiminnastamme sekä elämästämme heijastuu kiintymys Butoh-tanssiin sekä inhimilliseen, luovaan ja valoisaan elämään. Butoh’a voi lähestyä myös filosofiana ja elämäntapana, periaatteena tai asenteena.”
MO theatre creates and performs unique works that draw one’s inspiration from nature, myths, dreams and moment of now. Osku Leinonen and Masha Salangina established MO theatre in 2009. Our affection to Butoh dance, Visual Arts, Video Art, and Qigong, and passion toward humane, creative and positive life, illuminates our art and our existence. Masha and Osku lives in Tampere, Finland.
